Most phrasebooks are great for when you’re planning on traveling to a country, but THIS book has one goal and one goal only and is to learn the language whether that means traveling to the country or not. Rather than focusing on phrases to help rent a hotel room, buy a train ticket, or ask where the bathrooms are. It provides you with more than 100 key words and phrases to help you express more than 1,000 unique ideas based on general conversation topics.If your goal is to converse in Arabic language, then this really is the first book I suggest you buy – absolute winner.
1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Many missing pieces to understand the basics of the language By franky This booklet lacks tools that the previous Instant booklets have. In the other books, there will be grammar notes to make you understand why a sentence or word is formed in a certain way. This booklet has zero grammar or other notes to help the reader. It does have its usual top too words and how they are used; but so what. It needs to have much more clarity and this is why you are better off using another phrase book (believe me, Arabic has many phrasebooks out there). Moreover, the Arabic script is a little too small even for my young and healthy eyes. I have Instant Indonesian and Thai and they are wonderful but this Arabic version is written as if it was not related to Tuttle or with the other excellent Instant booklets made by this company.
