About the Author Urs Fischer was born in Zurich in 1973. He began training in photography but switched to sculpture, drawing, and painting at De Ateliers studio in Amsterdam. In recent years he has participated in numerous major international exhibitions, such as the Venice Biennale in 2003, and he had a solo show that year at the Santa Monica Museum of Art. He is represented by Gavin Brown gallery in New York and Sadie Coles in London.

Plus Bon Appetit chose it as one of their best cookbooks for 2015 By Queenie I bought this book because I'm an artist and couldn't resist a cookbook with that title. Plus Bon Appetit chose it as one of their best cookbooks for 2015. I had no idea it would become one of my favorite cookbooks, and it's like a breath of fresh air. The recipes are wonderful and light and are foods that I like to eat. It is mostly a Mediterranean diet and not drowning in cream and butter since her main ingredients are lemons, olive oil and salt. Perfect for me since the citrus trees in my backyard are bursting with lemons this time of year. I also love the book's beautiful design by artist Urs Fischer and luscious photography which was partially photographed by the author. And I love the way she talks about her Greek grandmother who taught her how to cook. Throughout the book are photographs of her Yiayia and her house and garden in Greece. The whole cookbook is the tender tale of how she learned to cook and became the chef for Gavin Brown and Urs Fischer, and the recipes the prepares for them. Also fabulous are the delightful artist's drawings and paintings throughout the book, Josh Smith and Elizabeth Peyton's work are among them. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is a slightly larger book, with a binding that lays flat. It's perfect for reading, cooking, and makes a lovely coffee table book. However it will probably never make it out of my kitchen or bedroom as I love to read it before I go to sleep at night -- it's that kind of book.

The art of cooking By Calliope I bought this book because it’s by the chef who cooks for Urs Fischer and contains images of his studio and artwork, but I ended up loving it as a cookbook. The recipes are approachable and easy to make yet special enough for company. The food is healthy & light, most of the recipes work for a primal/paleo diet and almost all are gluten-free. My favorite is the chicken soup, which may beat out my mother’s matzo ball version. It might seem weird to put egg & lemon in chicken soup but the result is a bright, comforting, light, yet satisfying broth. I also love the author's approach to vegetables – she makes salads out of veggies I thought you could only roast, and rich satisfying dishes out of veggies I thought you could only put in salads.

Put a taste of the Mediterranean on your table with these recipes -- delicious flavors, clever combinations and recipes that are just not too complicated. Everyone can be a great cook with this cookbook! I've already given it as a gift to several friends -- professional women who appreciate fine food but don't have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen. It's already a hit with them!

Hall Leo lives by Buddhist lessons and is able to share his advice as learned through real life experiences in this book. This is a great book if you have recently gone through a rough patch (or are currently going through one) and need reminding that YOU and only YOU are in control of your happiness. It is a book worth reading several times a month and each time you do, you will learn something new. Practice the techniques and you will become a more fulfilled, happier person without anything but some simple reflection and increased mindfulness. As Leo points out, it is within you to be content and happy every day. This book helps you see how to make happiness a day to day reality.

Simple wording and good pacing allows readers to reflect and understand exactly what in their lives needs improvement. I think this was Mr. Babauta's intent, it seems like he specifically chose simple words to ease the readers into a calm state.

(I'm thinking an "Intro to History" kind of class for majors). At the graduate school level, the student should know all this stuff. It's interesting none-the-less.Stars knocked off for the horrible vocabulary words on the sides of each page. They are incredibly distracting and have nothing to do with the argument of each section. For instance, a section about questioning "normal," the highlighted term is "abolition of slavery," which wasn't the point of the section, it was merely an example.

Perfect gift for an incoming medical student By James Dahle When I wrote The White Coat Investor: A Doctor's Guide to Personal Finance and Investing, I did my best to pass along the highest-yield information to those behind me in the medical pipeline. Throughout medical school and residency, I was both the recipient and the giver of that information. It always turned out that the best advice always came from those who were just ahead of you. So You Got Into Medical School....Now What? is a book written in that same vein.Daniel R. Paull, MD is an orthopedics resident, and so his advice about succeeding in medical school is both fresh and proven (unless orthopedics has recently become an easy residency to match into.) I found his advice to be spot-on with my experience in med school, and so can highly recommend this book to any pre-med or medical student, especially if feeling anxious about your performance or if you are actually struggling in school.The first five chapters are all about the first two years of med school. There are two chapters about the third year, a chapter on each part of Step 2, and then three chapters about the fourth year and getting into residency.From the introduction:You won't have to give up all your hobbies if you work intelligently and efficiently. The point of this book is to help you learn how to best manage your time in medical school. I almost always had time to do what I desired, and most weekends I was able to enjoy myself. I never had to pull an all-nighter, and seldom did I even have to study past 10 pm. My goal was always to do well in school while enduring as little stress as possible.I had a similar experience in med school, except I quit studying at 5 pm, not 10 pm. Maybe that's why I'm in emergency medicine instead of orthopedics. Dr. Paull continues:Sadly, this was not the case for a lot of my classmates, who all too often worked inefficiently and as a result became stressed, trading free time for anxiety. I learned how to avoid this trap through trial and error but often wished someone had told me what medical school was really going to be like. This guidebook is designed to help the student who is now in the position I once found myself in--without a guide.So if you wish you had a guide to med school, and if you don't like foosball, then I'd suggest picking up this book. It is a quick read, just 219 double-spaced pages, but filled with lots of good advice.Conceptual Learning Vs MemorizationThe first chapter is best summarized with this quote:The premise of this guide is this: the goal of every medical student should be to understand as much as possible and memorize no more than necessary. For example, let's say you must learn nine thousand facts, and five thousand of these can be predicted by learning the pathophysiology. You'll still have to memorize four thousand facts, but at least five thousand of them won't be subject to the vagaries of your memory.So You Got Into Medical SchoolHard Work Versus SmartsThe second chapter spends a great deal of time trying to talk you out of being a crammer. I never really had that issue. In med school, I figured I was studying stuff I would actually be using the rest of my life, so I tried to actually learn it. Besides, I learned in college that an hour of studying before 5 pm was worth 3 hours of studying after 5 pm. If you still cram, you need to read this chapter. The graph of Hard Work Versus Smarts was an interesting concept, demonstrating how most premeds are missing one of the two attributes, but that your med school peers have varying amounts of each attribute. The earlier you can figure out if you're there because of your smarts or because of your hard work, the better you can adapt your approach to your attributes.Diminishing ReturnsMy favorite chapter was the third chapter, and my medical school classmates will be the first to tell you that I thoroughly understood the concept of diminishing returns in med school. In my med school class there were three of us who routinely finished each test first. No one knew which of the three of us it would be on any given test, but within 60 seconds of one of us finishing, the other two would be done. It is no surprise that one of us ended up in anesthesiology and the other two in emergency medicine.At a certain point, there is not enough additional benefit to extra studying to justify the time and effort spent doing so. You don't learn any better for the long term and you don't really improve your grades all that much. It is the same way on the test. I discovered that either I knew the answer, or I didn't. Sitting there going back and forth for a half hour over the answers to 3 questions out of a 100 question test was a poor use of my time when I could be playing foosball. Might as well guess and move on. If you can get a 90% with 4 hours of studying, but it will take you 8 additional hours of studying to raise that 90% to 100%, well, you can either go for a 100% or you can get 22 runs in at the ski resort. I can tell you which one I'm going to choose every time.Study AnxietyThe fourth chapter discusses study anxiety, and how to have an appropriate level of confidence. The key, it turns out, is to have realistic expectations. Both overconfidence and underconfidence lead to problems.What If You Hate Third YearWhen I hit my third year rotations, I was like the majority of med students- I loved it! Even though this was before the 80 hour work week (I worked many more hours on some med school rotations than I did as a resident under the 80 hour rule) I was finally doing what I'd been preparing to do for so long. Sure, a lot of it was "fake it til you make it" but it beat sitting in lecture or the library wondering when your next chance to play foosball would be. However, apparently there are people who don't feel that way. Dr. Paull has this to say about it:I have to note there are exceptions to this generalization. Some students prefer the second year. These are the students who reap greater enjoyment from studying and test taking than from actually interacting with other human beings in a clinical environment. This academic type of student just happens to love school, and it's not uncommon for these students to already have pursued multiple masters degrees or even a doctorate....Then there are those students who don't like the third year any more than they liked the second year, students who see the third year as just another unhappy chapter on the road to physicianship. This sentiment might arise from being stuck in an unpleasant rotation, but some students cannot find a rotation they enjoy. This is a bad sign and may mean they do not like medicine and went to school because they thought they would like it, because they were forced by pushy parents, or because they wanted to become a doctor because of the associated lifestyle....Suffice it to say that every medical school class has at least a handful of students who fall into these categories, but it's important not to let others' unhappiness color your own relief and joy.I loved Dr. Paull's description of why it is important to get an attending to like you during your rotation is brilliant, as is his advice on how to become well-liked without being a brownnosing suckup.The remaining chapters contain about what you would expect. You'll find specific advice on how to do well on USMLE Step 1, Step 2, and some test I never even took called Step 2 CS. However, I think he got the old quote wrong; you know, the one about how long you need to study for Steps 1, 2, and 3. "Two months, two weeks, and two number two pencils." I learned it as "Two weeks, two days, and a number two pencil." Again, that probably explains why he's an orthopedist and I'm an emergency doc.At any rate, the book is the best I've seen for its intended audience- the student about to begin medical school who is feeling anxious and underwhelmed and wants to do the best they can in school. It would make an excellent graduation or "Congratulations you got into medical school" gift.Disclosure: I was provided a free review copy of the book, which I then gave away as a prize on my website.

The summaries for every chapter is great, since I can just go back to them for review at a later time. I expect I'll reread it every time I start another phase in med school just to refamiliarize myself of the process again and to help establish my personal goals.

It walks step-by-step through what to expect during those four years, including study tips, Step 1, third year clerkships, and more. I love the stories at the beginning of each chapter! They give a personal account of each med school hurdle and I found myself totally relating to the situations and better understanding what to expect. A great, fun read for anyone who has just gotten into med school and are not sure what they've gotten into or for anyone who wants to know more about what med school is truly like.

Ever since women in the West first started publishing works of fiction, they have written about a heroine who must wander from one place to another as she searches for a way to live the life she wants to live, a life through which she can express her true self creatively in the world. Yet while many have written about the "heroine's journey," most of those authors base their models of this journey on Joseph Campbell's model of the Heroic Quest story or on old myths and tales written down by men, not on the stories that women tell.

In Jane Eyre's Sisters: How Women Live and Write the Heroine's Story, cultural mythologist Jody Gentian Bower looks at novels by women--and some men--as well as biographies of women that tell the story of the Aletis, the wandering heroine. She finds a similar pattern in works spanning the centuries, from Lady Mary Wroth and William Shakespeare in the 1600s to Sue Monk Kidd, Suzanne Collins, and Philip Pullman in the current century, including works by Jane Austen, the Brontë sisters, George Eliot, Elizabeth Gaskell, Charles Dickens, Kate Chopin, Virginia Woolf, Doris Lessing, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Alice Walker, to name just a few. She also discusses myths and folk tales that follow the same pattern.

Dr. Bower argues that the Aletis represents an archetypal character that has to date received surprisingly little scholarly recognition despite her central role in many of the greatest works of Western fiction. Using an engaging, down-to-earth writing style, Dr. Bower outlines the stages and cast of characters of the Aletis story with many examples from the literature. She discusses how the Aletis story differs from the hero's quest, how it has changed over the centuries as women gained more independence, and what heroines of novels and movies might be like in the future. She gives examples from the lives of real women and scatters stories that illustrate many of her points throughout the book. In the end, she concludes, authors of the Aletis story use their imagination to give us characters who serve as role models for how a woman can live a full and free life.

It's very well written, making it easy to read for someone like me who is not an expert. I loved all the examples, not only from literature, but also from movies and real life. Some of my favorite heroines from literature were mentioned, including Jo March, Eowyn, Elizabeth Bennet, and even, to my surprise and delight, Flora Poste. And she made me see Jane Eyre, who has never been a favorite of mine, in a new light. The thesis seems to be that women in fiction and often in real life have a different journey from the classic "hero's journey" described by Joseph Campbell and others. Instead of going "there and back again", the heroine often goes on a transformative journey from which she does not return to her old life. I don't particularly see the world in terms of gender, so I could see this archetype applying equally to many men, which means that men could enjoy this book as much as I did.

Fascinating and eminently readable By Karin Allen This is a fascinating, warmly written exploration of women who become heroes by becoming their truest selves. In writing it, Jody Bower mixes stories from mythology, folk tales, classic literature, and modern fantasy and science fiction. She even finds a place for the movie Frozen!As I was reading Jane Eyre's Sisters, I kept wishing she was there in front of me so I could say things like, "Yes, that happened to me too!" or "Exactly! And that reminds me of another story I've read!" and (in the case of the lesser-known tales) "How is it that I've never heard about this character until now?"I hope this book inspires more study along the same lines, and I hope Jody Bower writes more along these lines too!

By Susan Ricci WONDERFUL BOOKAs soon as I saw this title on the shelf at the bookstore I grabbed it, and when I saw on the back cover that the author had a doctorate in mythological studies, I was intrigued, having once planned to complete a degree in mythological studies myself. I bought the book, and I was not at all disappointed. I love any book that introduces me to other books and writers that I would want to read. But Judy Bower references the works of writers that I already know and love, and creates a wonderful gestalt of showing how their works merge and enhance each other. I have a long standing reverence for Betty Meador, who I took a day long seminar with many years ago, and that was so validating it was life changing, and yet, I seldom see much of her work incorporated into the works of other writers. Jody Bower references her work appropriately and I am so appreciative of that. This is a book to read once, and then to reread occasionally because I am sure I will find that it will expand in it's meaning in my life. Read it and recommend it to your friends.

22 of 25 people found the following review helpful. had many severe problems with this book By swish Matt Stone and Joey Lott have a cottage industry telling people that things other people in the health community say to watch out for are in fact not that important.On one hand, it's good that they are taking a stand for adequate calorie consumption, something that can be important for people dealing with chronic conditions. On the other hand, their advice could be dangerous if they are encouraging complacency about well-founded concerns.There's a reason that people are concerned about mold. It can disable people. I would know, because I became disabled from mold exposure (from living in a building when it had water damage). I now deal with Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS), something that should be discussed in this book but is not. It seems that mold alone might be enough to cause myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), with reports of patients who improve dramatically from leaving moldy environments (and doing far more to avoid and detoxify mold toxins than Lott describes in this book):See: http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/what-is-chronic-fatigue-syndrome-and-why-arent-we-doing-more-to-treat-the-illness/2014/10/06/4cfff312-d458-11e3-8a78-8fe50322a72c_story.html)Some problems I had with the book:-The biggest issue is that Lott sticks to the idea that there is no proof that mycotoxins from a moldy home can make you sick. I am going to be laughing for the next week over this. This idea has been thoroughly discredited by thousands of patients through their lab tests and responses to treatment, not to mention scientific research. Keep this in mind if you read the book: the author does not think there is credible evidence that mycotoxins from homes can make you sick. Thus, the rest of the recommendations are correspondingly casual. He says to be prudent but not afraid. Sorry, mold exposure in your home, especially if you are having health symptoms, IS something to be afraid about. You can become disabled or sick long-term.-Also, keep in mind that the author says worrying about gluten isn't necessary and all we need to do is to eat more calories. Many people with chronic inflammatory conditions find that avoiding gluten is critical. Mold toxins themselves can increase gluten sensitivity. So if you believe that gluten can be a problem for some people, you might not agree with this book.-Lott claims that systemic fungal infection is unlikely except in those with extremely compromised immune systems (e.g. untreated AIDS). Why, then, do so many mold patients respond favorably to antifungals, anti fungal herbs and supplements, and so forth? Mold itself can compromise the immune system, so anyone with a lot of exposure and mold-sensitive HLA genes could be immunocompromised and susceptible to fungal infection, particularly in the sinuses (See this research paper: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3920250/)-"As I have mentioned, it is possible, though not likely, that you may have a mycotoxin load in your body. Many `experts' in the field of mold and health overstate the likelihood of a mycotoxin burden, playing on fear...."So this is how we are going to handle the large amount of suffering that many mold-susceptible people face when they are poisoned with mold toxins, have reduced visual acuity (as measured by the VCS test), and have to spend years (yes, often years) reducing the mycotoxin burden in their body in order to have a reduction of symptoms? Just by saying it's not likely and that it's overstated?And discrediting the experts in this field, whom patients greatly appreciate for tackling the problem, by claiming they are "playing on fear?" I know many mold doctors and would not say that they do that. They take on these difficult patients and try to help them the best they can.Also, what on earth does he mean about "there is simply no credible evidence to date showing that there is a likelihood of developing a mycotoxin burden in a moldy home." Quoting the science that was created specifically to protect insurance companies from claims, I see (watch Black Mold Exposure documentary to learn more about this).... This is just not true. There are so many patients with documented elevated levels of mycotoxins (e.g., measured from RealTime labs, evidence sometimes used in legal proceedings) from living in water-damaged buildings.Lott seems misinformed about methods of detoxifying mold toxins.-Sure, it is difficult to take glutathione orally. However s-acetyl-glutathione has good oral absorption, and there are also glutathione IVs, which have helped many people. Dave Asprey recommends liposomal glutathione. It's also possible to administer glutathione rectally, e.g., in low-volume coffee enemas. There are plenty of ways that glutathione itself can be used for mycotoxin detoxification.-Lott recommends just drinking or eating small amounts of turmeric. Never mind that it has very bad absorption unless mixed with oil or black pepper or taken in a liposomal or extract form (e.g., Biocurcumin, Meriva curcumin, Theracurmin). This is simply bad advice.-Lott says that Shoemaker's book is a "scare" book. (No, it just explains the pathways of injury in patients, and patients are glad that someone has explained it!)-He says that using cholestyramine is a "reckless" suggestion. This is hardly a way for any mold book to handle one of the mainstays of mold treatment. Cholestyramine has been invaluable for many mold patients and there are few things that bind mold toxins as well as it. There are scientific studies on how mold patients improve with it. If it depletes vitamins, those can be replaced, or it can be used short-term or pulsed. This is an egregious error by this book, to overlook cholestyramine or put down those who recommend it, as it is one of the cornerstones of mold treatment.-Lott instead recommends bentonite clay and charcoal. Some people like these, but these don't tend to work as well as cholestyramine, and some people think they have side effects. Charcoal seems to soak up things other than just mold toxins. I don't like it myself and don't use it regularly.-Lott gets things backwards about whey protein and says that you want the "denatured" whey protein. As I understand it, the "undenatured" kind is better. He claims that Immunocal is "denatured" when it is in fact "undenatured."-Oh, great, at the end he says it's probably ok to stay in your house even if you have black mold (Stachybotrys chartarum), if you use the relatively mild (compared to what many people have to do) steps in the book. This advice could lead to readers' deaths. If people have health issues or mold-susceptible HLA genes, they should not be living in houses with noticeable levels of Stachybotrys. So many people have had their productive lives ended by living in homes like that when they were susceptible for genetic and other health reasons.I would not recommend this book.Read any of the other books on mold illness, such as Shoemaker's books (the approach can be simplified and done with other practitioners), Back from the Edge, Mold: The War Within, or James Schaller's book. Disappointing and Misleading By Lisa Petrison I am experimenting with Kindle Unlimited and thus decided to take a look at this book.In general, the story of this author is extremely consistent with the stories that I have heard from hundreds of patients with chronic neuroimmune disease (ME, CFS, chronic Lyme, fibro, mold illness). He had signs for a very long time that mold was an issue for him and gradually started moving into experiencing chronic neuroimmune health symptoms; he did better when living in locations reported by other patients to be comparatively good; he declined dramatically after moving into a particularly problematic environment; he failed to be able to remediate that bad environment through the use of dehumidifiers or any other kind of clean-up techniques; he moved out of the bad environment (apparently discarding many of the belongings and washing the rest); and once in a better environment, he started to benefit from other treatments.I'm always happy to hear people tell their own mold stories. And considering how similar the author's story is to the stories of many other people, I have little doubt that he is telling the truth about what happened to him.The problem that I have with the book is when the author (who has training neither as a medical professional nor as a mold remediator) starts to give people advice based not on his own experiences or on the experiences that he has heard from others who successfully got better from this kind of illness, but rather based on theories and speculation.The most obvious example of that in this book is in the discussion about dehumidifiers. The book seems to be taking the position that the first step in fixing a moldy home is to bring down humidity levels. The author suggests doing this before even looking for the mold in the home and trying to remediate it.The problem here is that insofar as mold indeed is growing in the open as a result of high humidity levels (which is usually not where the problem molds stem from), dropping the humidity level will cause the colonies to dry out and thus to release a massive number of dormant toxic spores into the air. The result thus may be that those who are living in the home will be exposed to an even higher dose of the toxins all at once - making their health issues even worse.In addition, the most toxic molds rarely grow on the surfaces of walls. They usually grow in three basic places: in HVAC ducts, inside drywall and inside wall insulation. In addition, the molds that are the most toxic (including Stachybotrys) cannot get enough water from the air to grow and make toxins; rather, they must have at least periodic access to actual standing water. In some cases, this may be water condensation in the HVAC system; in others, it may be roof leaks, pipe leaks, window leaks or other conditions in which water droplets meet cellulose.And even in those cases, just stopping the leak is not going to be sufficient to solve the problem, because - again - the dead toxic colonies will send more dormant toxic spores into the air than the colonies did when they still had enough water to be alive.The author knows that running that dehumidifier in the basement of the house that provoked a relapse was not helpful to him - and it shouldn't have been helpful, based on what we know about how mold works.I do understand that mold remediation is a field where quality standards are very low, and so I am not surprised that some remediators might have instructed him that dehumidifiers are essential.But if one is going to write a book, it should be one of three ways. 1) An expert writes the book. 2) One writes the book as a journalist, interviewing (actual) experts and then summarizing what the experts said in clear language (and giving credit to the experts for their statements so that their reputations can be used by the reader as a reason to believe or disbelieve). 3) The book is written from the point of view of qualitative research, where the author reports his/her own experiences and the experiences of other patients to create some hypotheses about what might or might not work for other people in the same situation.This book does not seem to fall into any of these categories. The author is not an expert; the author is not interviewing experts (or even reporting on what specific experts have reported elsewhere); the author is not just reporting his own experiences; and the author has not appeared to interview other patients about their experiences recovering. For the most part, all of the recommendations seem to be based on pure opinion about what _might_ work, without any support.That makes it especially problematic that the book bears the title of "The Mold Cure." Even if there were any evidence that this particular approach might be helpful to people, that kind of title is really hyperbolic. Of course people who are really sick want a cure, but promising it to them when we have no evidence that it actually will cure most people with the problem (much less if we have no evidence that it will cure anybody at all) seems like it is taking advantage of people's hopes. In addition, the idea that this problem can be "cured" so easily has the potential of minimizing it in society's eyes.On the issue of mycotoxins. Some basics of the debate. 1) Mycotoxins are wholly accepted as causing disease (including diseases with symptoms very similar to those experienced in chronic Lyme, ME, etc - immune system suppression, increases in gut permeability, perforations in the blood-brain barrier) when ingested. 2) The ERMI test (developed by the EPA) identifies problem buildings based on the presence of particular molds that make mycotoxins. (I see nothing in this book about the idea that some molds that are found in buildings are considered to be non-harmful to humans. Not all mold is created equal!) The ERMI test has held up in many many court cases as being predictive of the extent to which buildings are causing illness. 3) The argument that was once made about whether mycotoxins could be harmful as a result of inhaled exposures was that people could not inhale enough mycotoxins to match the amount that animals ingest in studies. However, inhaled exposures are known to be much more dangerous than ingested exposures (because inhaled exposures much more easily get into the brain and bloodstream), and the satratoxin found in buildings has been found to be much more damaging than the Fusarium trichothecenes found in animal feed. 4) Some studies have now exposed animals to toxic mold via inhalation and found effects.In short, insofar as the author is going to take a controversial position ("We don't need to be worrying about mycotoxins"), there needs to be more of a measured discussion about it.With regard to the fungal infections: there is plenty of evidence that patients with ME (which overlaps significantly with chronic Lyme disease and toxic mold illness) actually do have severe immune abnormalities, especially with regard to low natural killer cell activity. In addition, ME patients are known to have low levels of oxygen throughout their systems, and many infections (such as candida and borrelia) are known to thrive in this kind of anaerobic environment. The idea that other fungal infections besides candida might also be an issue for these patients seems quite possible - and, indeed, many ME patients have reported benefiting from antifungal drugs. Statements that patients who have had mold exposures (as many/most/all ME patients have had) should not be concerned about fungal infections are not based in knowledge about the condition, therefore.I could go on for quite a while longer in pointing out more problems with this book, unfortunately. I wish that the it were good enough to recommend, because the world does need more information on this topic. However, I cannot think of any patient no matter what level of illness who - had they read this book upfront and listened to its recommendations - would not have been worse off. So I therefore felt compelled to make a comment about it.I wish the author had just written the book as "Here's what happened to me and why I think I improved as a result of what I did." That, I could have recommended.

By Fred Adelman Another winner of an issue that every fan of films with monsters of every type should purchase and enjoy from cover-to-cover. I don't know how editor and writer Tim Paxton and his crew continue to turn out such excellent issues on a monthly basis, but they do and MONSTER! puts professional zines like FANGORIA to shame in sheer informational value alone. You will learn more in one issue of MONSTER! than you will in a whole year of FANGORIA. So, do like me and jump aboard the MONSTER! bandwagon. I guarantee you will never look back and will become hooked in no time at all. Worth every penny, even at twice the price.

No cornball puns and lots of photos nobody has ever seen makes this the biggest little bargain out there. I cannot get enough! The authors are experts and the movies ore old. So the text will never become dated. A+++++++++ MUST FIND MORE!
