Another Excellent Resource by Janet Davis By PDX Author Like all of Janet Davis materials for the banjo, this book on melodic style met every expectation and then some. Included are some key licks for each piece of music that can be practiced separately while working on the pieces. Included are recommended fingering for both right and left hand (very important in this style). Many of the licks sound familiar and offer an alternative to classic bluegrass three finger rolls. The recordings are tremendously helpful for hearing how melodic banjo should sound.
