Really, a whole paragraph devoted to cutting your meal into bite-sized portions so you don't choke?!?! Eat bland food?!?! Kick through a sheetrock wall then make the hole bigger?!?! Good grief...There was no detail given of any use or functionality; in fact, the whole book was an exercise in generalities. It truly reminded me of a student in high school who had to write a 40-page paper, and just blathered on with irrelevant content just so he could make it to the required 40 pages. If this is the best a graduate of the esteemed British SAS can produce, then either the training is lacking (which I highly doubt, I personally know graduates of their training), the author has the writing skills of a high school sophomore, or the author was never anywhere near an SAS training facility. Everything he wrote about SAS training is readily available (and in clearer, more utilitarian format) via Google.Summary; don't waste your time on this pamphlet...

By Jess I have read most of the survival guides and disaster prep guides out there, but I have been looking for a book that focused on natural disasters and I finally found one in this book! While it does discuss preparedness for man-made disasters too, the depth that it gives to preparing for natural disasters is what I have been looking for. The advice is practical, thorough and clear. The book gives you a very clear idea of what to expect, what supplies to gather and how to be prepared for the worst. If you are looking to create a emergency plan and get together your emergency supply kit, you have found the right book!
