1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Get a different edition! By Stephen F. Wentworth Get the Carl Fischer edition instead. The print quality in the Fleury edition is quite poor. It appears to have been poorly scanned and then shrunk (from 9x12 to 8.5x11). Also, two words are misspelled in the TITLE! ("Studies" is misspelled "studes" and "cornet" is misspelled "coronet").

At first glance the First Study looked encrypted. Slowing down and reading the Introduction helped in developing better tone, breathing, and figuring skills.
