Dan lays everything out in an easy to understand way that leads to desired results if one is persistent and understands that becoming skilled at anything takes time,patience, and perseverance. This book has given me a better understanding of chord progressions and song construction By Amazon Customer Although I haven't completed everything in the book, and I am trying to teach myself how to play I am enjoying what is in the book. Along with the authors videos on You Tube I believe I have learned a lot. My mind still doesn't let me visualize much, my little bit of playing (only started this 7 months ago) has improved much from practicing the 12 major scales with both hands at the same time. I have played other instruments, so I already knew how to read music. This book has given me a better understanding of chord progressions and song construction. It also reinforces the positive outlook you need to have to accomplish any goal. I was feeling stuck with the adult piano lesson book because of the repeat of a lot of things I already knew. I am learning to play for my own entertainment and hopefully to be able to put some simple songs together for the background music of any more iOS games that I code. This book might not be for everybody, but I am happy that I bought it.

YouTube led me to this Book By B Reid I am rating this book that I have NOT finished.I found Dan's YouTube channel when I decided I'd learn to actually play the piano with both hands.Love his philosophy/outlook a lot. It's a bit conceptual: and it speaks to me.It's helped me to get out of my own head and allow myself to play.
