3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Compelling Novel of Ideas By FullMind I loved this book when I read it in its previous incarnation as "New Israel." The many ideas and questions it raises make it a thinking person's book, while at the same time the presentation is unpretentious and very readable. The central issue of the book, whether Israel should exist somewhere other than where it currently does, is something I, and I'm sure many others, Jews in particular, have thought about. The way the issue is woven into a fictionalized story is brilliant and realistic. Get "Settled" if you're looking for a read that's both thought provoking and entertaining.

By Pedro Angel Palou The premise of Settled is bold but clear: What if a well-known artist can convince a vast amount of people that the solution to the Middle East problem is simple: Move Israel? Could he be the new Moses? This compelling novel tries to answer these questions and in doing so reveals some of the most profound traits of the human condition. This is a great book for our difficult day. The enduring dream of David Cohen will resonate for many and will make sense to others, even if it only remains a dream.
