About the Author Martyn Hooper founded the Pernicious Anaemia Society after being forced to give up full time work as a lecturer in Further Education owing to the long term effects of undiagnosed pernicious anaemia and vitamin B12 deficiency. He now runs the Society full time, and campaigns for improvements in diagnosis and treatment of these conditions.

Very inspiring By Felicia Libo I learned about Martyn Hooper and his important work with the Pernicious Anaemia Society when I was struggling with B12 issues myself and tried to find resources in the US. His personal story and work with this organization is much needed and very inspiring, and led to finding better treatment options and a wider perspective for me. I'm very grateful for Martyn Hooper and the publication of this book.
