About the Author Dr. Carole Gedenberg is a concierge house call pediatrician in Boulder, CO. Her practice is called Doctor At Your Door LLC, and services pediatric patients 0-18 years old living within half an hour of Boulder, CO. She received an undergraduate degree in Biology at Colorado College, and had the opportunity to study abroad during her final year. She fell in love with the Czech Republic - the atmosphere, way of life, and approach to healthcare are all different than in the US - so she decided to complete medical school there. She spent one month of training in Turku, Finland. She worked for one year as a family practice intern in Southern Colorado before completing pediatric residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY. She spent three months as a medical volunteer in and around Cordoba, Argentina. After residency, Dr. Gedenberg worked at Pediatric Urgent Care in Lindenhurst, NY before moving back home to Boulder, CO to start Doctor At Your Door LLC. Dr. Gedenberg is fluent in Spanish and Czech. In her free time, she enjoys knitting, playing piano, snowboarding, and tae kwon do. She lives in Boulder, CO with her husband and stepson.

Best book for brand new parents like us!!!!! Concise, informative, easy to read, and answers all of our questions. I keep this book close at hand, and it definitely offers the answers we need, as well as peace of mind.

Without drowning you in too much unnecessary details or background, it goes to the important stuff in an easy to understand and concise manner (believe me, you will appreciate this quality when your baby arrives - you'll have no time to start reading the Oxford Handbook of Pediatrics). The book covers the most common questions you will be asking in a no-nonsense manner that makes it clear when you can relax and when you should call your doctor. Thinking of it, your doctor should buy you this book since they will be the one benefiting most from it! Dr. Gedenberg writes from years of experience of dealing with both children and parents and this understanding shows in the book. You will not regret buying it.

You will find the ** answers** to the need-to-know questions, from an authority, with hands on experience. This book covers the "crunchy" and the "conventional" with a matter-of-fact clarity and non-judgement. If there are conclusions drawn by the author, they are for safety and common sense, otherwise she supplies the information and you make the decisions about what is right for your dear one. This book is worth buying 2, one for you to keep and one to lend to your friends.This is a must have book for all new parents!
