About the Author I have dealt with depression and social anxiety for as long as I can remember, but I have learned to embrace it rather than run away from it. Throughout my journey, I have met many other people who have dealt with similar issues. Listening to what they go through has made a big difference to my life. This is why I started writing books - I wanted to share the experiences of those around me and my own. I hope I can show people that they're not alone. I've been told I write clearly and summarize well, so I plan on expanding my horizons and writing about many different common disorders or issues people have. By amazon customer This book presents great insights into ADHD, what I like about this book is that it contains real accounts of people suffering from ADHD, which makes the content of the book genuine. The experiences and the pieces of advice are from the lessons, the difficulties encountered by the writer and two of his loved ones who are victims of the disorder.In this book you'll see a clearer picture of the disorder, including its symptoms, diagnosis and treatments. Excellent book, honest and genuine.

Very helpful and informative By Chris Bledsoe I have a nephew that suffers from ADHD so I wanted to educate myself on the subject in order to best help him. This book was very concise and helpful; basically a distillation of all the important information on the subject. I especially found the sections on how to help a family member with ADHD very helpful.

NOT boring academic writing By Kristin Louise Duncombe This was a very quick and "easy" read, in that it is not mired down at all in heavy, boring academic writing. I think it is probably most useful as a guide for people who are just getting started with learning about ADHD, as it does not go very "deep." I don't mean that in a critical way - rather that the book is very accessible but if you are hoping to learn the basics about ADHD, less so if you want to get very heavy into neuroscience etc. I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book, through Reading Deals, so I could give an honest review.
