I Am Shocked By Ross Rosenberg The book is vaguely written, does not seem to have any clear or concrete instructions on how to break the deeply embedded psychological problem that many of us know as codependency. The author's "cure" seems hollow and even unnatural, as the author doesn't seem to have an understanding of the clinical properties of the disorder. It is odd that the author and her background is completely absent from this book. Because the reader is given no information about the author, the credibility of this work is cast in a large shadow. The book seems to me more of a way to cash in a catch title, than to offer the reader substantive information about solving their codependency problems. Sadly, there is no "codependency cure" in this book. Instead, it is a quickly and poorly written pseudo self-help book that seems more interested in promoting its sales by a catch title than by the information if offers.As the great codependency authors of our time, e.g. Melody Beattie, Pia Melody, Claudia Black, Robin Norwood and more have demonstrated: there is no simple solution or "cure" to a problem as deeply pathological and convoluted as codependent; especially in the form of a amateurishly written 71 page (huge font) book that leaves the reader wanting more information, especially the cure for codependency.It seems to me, the title and some of this book's content may have been derived from my own work. Over the past year, I have created written and video content regarding my upcoming book, "The Codependency Cure: Breaking Free from Narcissists" as well as my the connection of my "codependency cure" idea to the resolution of self-love. I find it uncanny and a bit unnerving that the full title of this book is: "Codependency Cure: How to overcome codependency, heal your love life, form healthier relationships and cultivate self love." Adding insult to injury, "THE CODEPENDENCY CURE" IS TRADEMARKED BY ME. I have initiated a copyright complaint by Amazon.In the beginning of the book the author includes a legal disclaimer that equates to that she stole the information and cannot be held legally liable. "The trademarks that are used without consent and the publication of the trademark is without permission or backing by the trademark owner. All trademarks and brands with this book are for clarifying purposes are for clarifying purposes and are the owned by the owners themselves, not affiliated with this document." REALLY?I say this to my own clients, readers, and viewers: "not one book will ever get you to break free from codependency." But many will get you to the doorstep of a good therapist while giving you cogent and descriptive advice about what to work on. Every details and instructions are well written and can easily be understood. The author manage to point out all the essential instructions, steps and good pointers to save a relationship.
