3 of 4 people found the following review helpful. A Great Idea, but Needs Work By mdmzolta The concept of healthy, easy microwave mug recipes is great! This book is ambitious, in that it provides vegetarian and meat recipes for all three meals of the day, as well as snack and dessert recipes. However, it would benefit greatly from some careful editing. A number of the recipes appear to be missing items in their ingredient lists, and/or their directions are unclear or confusing. There are errors, such as the addition of ham in one of the vegetarian recipes. While some recipes are simple enough for non-cooks to try, some require ingredients that many non-cooks do not ordinarily stock, or require too much prep for a mug meal. That said, I found many of the recipes interesting, and some simple and appetizing enough even for the super-busy or the "I-Hate-to-Cook" reader . The Dessert section has some particularly appetizing entries, but the same caveats apply. I would love to see an expanded and much more carefully edited edition of this book. In any case, this book is certainly worth the price.

So I never skip this part. I am kind of bored with my current recipes so I have been looking for something new. I like these new recipes as they are prepared using healthy ingredients and also easy to cook during the busy mornings. I also liked the mug cakes very much since they are delicious, easy to make and low in carbs. I have started making a special mug cake everyday for myself in the evenings after a busy day.

They are easy and quick to prepare, I feel more flexible with these recipes as I can prepare snack for my child or just a quick breakfast or dinner. Lovely to have them as an option. Worth trying once in awhile.
