I loved it and couldn't put it down. At one point I did "have" to put it down to do some work and I noticed, several hours later, that I was still smiling from ear to ear....and I'm not a "smiley" person.I have read the other books in the "Fourth Awakening" and this book was the icing on the cake. But it is it's own book too and can stand on it's own without the necessity of reading the others. Although I would strongly suggest reading the others first, so the total living dynamics of the overview can be better understood and felt. I expected, like in many other book series, that I'd have to wade through half the book as it brings me up to date, reading about what I read in the previous books to know what was going on, but surprisingly, that didn't happen....you just hit the ground running here, but as you get deeper into the story things start to just simply weave together with the previous books....brilliant writing!I'm a combat wounded disabled veteran...(with Zen Satori, 1983.) So his clear views of good, evil, humanity and war were a great delight to me, because the truth is so seldom heard, although he may catch some "flack" over it. And most impressive was Rod's awareness of the enlightened states and how they may manifest differently within different personalities or levels of enlightenment. This clear vision of enlightenment is something that can't be faked, he's gotta be living there to know what he knows. His "honesty" about enlightenment and it's possible aftermath is very true, but also seldom spoken about....it's a no bullsh_t book that covers the best, the worst, and the beyond of our human experience.Thanks for the book....and please keep writing!

Rod Pennington is the only author who, when one of his books comes out, I will drop whatever I'm reading and start his book immediately! He writes from a space of Knowing the subject matter (from Special Ops to Enlightenment), and in this book brings to light the issue of how 'Awakened' people deal with evil in our world.Can an enlightened one acknowledge that there IS evil in the world and still be at Peace with Everything? Is there a time to confront evil with a purpose of eradicating it, or do we accept the evil as it is? Can one 'observe' evil without judgment? [As an Awakened person, I do acknowledge that there is evil in the world, while maintaining my Peace; I do acknowledge that there are times when humanity must confront evil; I am able to observe evil without judgment.] Your enlightenment & opinions may vary!All that said, Gabriel Indweller is a complex character who has the ability to perceive evil, and eliminate it...but only if he deems them irredeemable, which is a subtle yet important distinction of his character. Like I said, a complex character, yet not without a sense of humor. "Indweller" is a fast-paced, entertaining, thought-provoking spin of a read. I do highly recommend reading the entire "The Fourth Awakening" series first, but don't hesitate to read "Indweller" now if you just can't wait! One "critical" comment about Rod's books, though, is that you never want them to end, and always want the next book 'right now'! Always worth the wait!

Worlds collide and the story gets bigger. Can't wait for the next adventure to see how enlightenment can manifest itself in our lives without the need to live in a cave and be oblivious to the greater world around us. Great job Rod!

By Amazon Customer I like to follow natural remedies to prevent and cure common ailments like seasonal cold and cough, but I am not an expert in that field. A brilliant and beautifully-written work By Genchildren "Tense Future" fundamentally changed the way that I think about total war, trauma, and interwar fiction. More than that, it glitteringly demonstrates the very best of what can be achieved in literary scholarship. Saint-Amour’s thesis—namely that in the wake of WWI, the dread of another catastrophe saturated the cultural imagination in a type of pre-traumatic stress syndrome—is compelling verified in his readings of seminal works by Woolf, Joyce, and Ford. The argument also pivots on an array of mostly-forgotten cultural figures such as the RAF officer L.E.O. Charlton, the speculative-fiction writer Cicely Mary Hamilton, and the archivist Hilary Jenkinson. What’s most impressive, perhaps, is the way that Saint-Amour explains difficult theoretical histories (i.e. queer temporalities scholarship, Derridean nuclear criticism, and encyclopedism) and turns our assumptions about them on their heads. What’s more, the book is stunningly well-written. Lyrical, thoughtful, and often witty, Saint-Amour’s prose is unrivaled. Buy this book.

Ortega The manner in which this work approaches Trauma and actually re-works the Field as a whole is the accomplishment that all of us who have worked toward a career as a Scholar have hoped for; this is a major work, and, as though The Copywrights (Cornell) weren't enough, we've yet another signpost to which we may all point when Professor Saint-Amour becomes the most important name in English Literature Studies. (He really is a wonderful person to hold as a hero within the field, as he benefits from a wonderful taste, as evidenced by the title Modernism & Copyright, which he Edited, and yet did not include himself.)

About the Author Biography Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, Kathy Lariviere chronicles her journey through breast cancer with humor and candor that will have you laughing out loud as you read about her determination to survive cancer. Kathy started writing in high school and hoped to become a journalist, until she discovered that sticking to the facts was boring. She also majored in accounting for only one semester for the same reason. After retiring from the phone company at the age of twenty-six, Kathy spent the majority of her life as a compulsive volunteer helping nonprofit organizations with membership and financial campaigns. She opened a website design and promotion business using the skills she developed while volunteering. But she always returned to writing. Though she considers herself a Texan at heart, she now lives in Iowa with her husband, Gene, and walking companion, Luci Dog. Her three grown children are “off the family payroll” and successful in their communities. If she’s not working on her latest blog, you can find her reading, creating websites, traveling, or laughing with her friends.

By Sharon Andresen I purchased several copies of 'Laugh With Kathy' from a non-Amazon source and shared them with friends of mine who had either had breast cancer or were going through this journey currently. While reading my personal copy, I found I would have some of the best tools and advice available about how to accept help, how to choose a support team, how to roll with the punches, and how to count my blessings should I ever be diagnosed with breast cancer. Kathy's support system was obviously key to her success, and she chose her 'team' wisely. I would highly recommend this humorous yet insightful book to anyone going through breast cancer treatment. I hope Kathy will write a 'Life After Breast Cancer' book to bring hope to those who are struggling with seeing a light at the end of the breast cancer tunnel. Thanks for the laughs, Kathy!

Ward This book shows how one can get through an extremely difficult time trying to find the positive in things, people and events. The Author shares intimate details and feelings that many of us are not aware affect people with cancer. She not only helps herself through this ordeal but helps those around her. Have you ever not known what to say to someone who is sick? She tells you and she tells you how important everyone who helped her was to her healing in each of their own way. She uses her humor in the most unusual ways. It's a quick read and a good one. ENJOY, life is too short!!

But I have followed Kathy on her Facebook page with some excerpts from the book and it is so true that she doesn't like the hum drum of dull and boring anything in life.. I laughed so hard at some of things she'd come up with. It takes a special person to think of some of this humor and the ability to find it when living in, what I'd call a dark cloud. She made the sun shine. I'm reading it as soon as it gets to me!!

By DMG I'm a High School Equivalency (HSE) teacher and am currently beginning to use this guide in class with students. There are limited choices for HISET at present, and as this is one of the first to market, I was interested to see how this book stacked up.First, there seems to be some misinformation in a few of these reviews. The HiSET test, with the exception of one essay on the writing section, is exclusively multiple-choice as of 2015. There are no short answer, fill in the blank, matching etc...those are part of the new GED test, which we prep our students for as well. Secondly, there is no trigonometry currently on the HiSET math test. Finally, the HiSET Exam is being normed, in other words, the 2015 version is more difficult than the 2014, and the 2016 will be more difficult than this year's, and so on. This is ETS' plan for HiSET.Changes for 2015 Mathematics include more algebra, now 45% of the math questions. Changes for Social Studies include decreasing the number of questions in History & Geography, & increasing the focus on Civics/Government and Economics. In Science, there is a slight increased focus on physical science compared to life-science. In Writing, the essay is now supposed to be evidence based, and there is a larger focus on organization of ideas and language facility, and less questions addressing writing conventions, compared to 2014.Back to the guide....the book's Table of Contents is not at all well labeled, and there is no index. For example, if you're looking for help with slopes in Math, it's in Chapter 38, titled Mathematical Formulas. Finally the books greatest shortfall is the lack of explanations on the answer pages. There are only explanations for the two included practice tests. If you're buying this to review, and don't understand why you got a answer wrong on the practice portion, having the answer only, with no explanation is not helpful.Having both GED & HiSET prep books in class, I find myself using this one with students more and more. With some simple revisions, an index, and more explanations, this guide would be even more helpful.

By MO HiSET teacher I am an HSE teacher in Missouri, which uses the HiSET to test for the High School Equivalency. Yes, the HiSET changed in 2015, and is more challenging in all areas, especially the MATH. I read the two comments, and also looked at the table of contents, for this. I recognize that this will NOT fully prepare students for the new 2015 test, as the two reviewers state. Based on that, I will not be purchasing this book.(By the way, to address one reviewers comments; the HiSET does not have short answer completion on any section. It is all multiple choice. Have heard the GED--a different test than HiSET-- does have short answer.)

By m This book claims to have been compiled by the people who make the test; however, it fails to cover all the concepts presented in HiSet's most recent practice math exam. I am a math teacher and I have their most recent math HiSet exam. The concepts NOT presented in this book are: trigonometry (sine, cosine, tangent), the pythagorean theorem in conglomeration with trigonometry, and the quadratic formula with natural and complex numbers. In other words, this book will NOT adequately prepare a person for the version of the math exam containing the said concepts.
