You need a change in your diet and you want to present your food in such a way that it is not only healthy but also appealing to the eye. Using the spiral slicer tool which comes in different sizes and designs which we will go over in chapter 1 will certainly help you in creating a dish that is pleasing to multiple senses! A meal can be a much more enjoyable experience if you create dishes that will appeal to those they are presented to in a visually attractive way. It is true that when a meal is layed out or cut and placed in a certain manner it is more appealing than something that has been basically tossed onto a plate in a haphazard manner. If you are left to choose from a plate of food that is presented nicely to one that is a mess it is highly likely that you will choose the pleasing presentation of the food even if it is the same food.

Maybe one day I will be able to tell my story and encourage others as well! Very inspiring with a lot of ideas on eating healthy and was really relatable to people. The author did a great job. 'I highly recommend this awesome book.

However, due to the biased opinion that green food have pale and dull taste, many do not try this method. This book was able to debunk that judgment with its awesome tasty recipes. My boyfriend definitely love the Salad on Many Colors. He was really satisfied when we tried it together. Personally, I recommend its Spicy Shrimps and Parsnip Noodles. There are many different recipes that you can also try, even you are a newbie in the kitchen since the author gives each instruction in a clear and brief manner. Still, you must do some research before following this fully. I find some contradicting recipes that will compromise your goal.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. bunch of great recipes. By Violet I tried the “Clean Living” cookbook to get a jump start on my spring detox. The book started out with a lot of vague information and promises that made me skeptical, as it didn’t offer any scientific back up. It did inspire me to learn more. I had no idea what “food pairing” was, and was curious to research the importance of pairing certain foods together during a meal. I also was inspired to eat more seasonally and check out my local farmers market when it starts in the spring. After I did some alternate research, I got really into this book. There is actually a lot of great info-from super food lists, to cooking techniques, and of course, a bunch of great recipes.

Children are very much at risk of developing post traumatic stress disorder from a number of sources such as child abuse of a sexual, physical, mental health nature, wars, chronic illness, violence, death of a loved one, witnessing a very traumatic event, to name a few, and if left untreated and inadequately managed, the likelihood of these children growing to adulthood as traumatized dysfunctional adults is enormous. Too many children in our world today suffer from childhood trauma and have discovered that the world can be a dangerous place where their security and safety are under threat. They are traumatized by overwhelming events which have exceeded their capacity to cope and are at high risk of developing PTSD. Unfortunately, we may not be able to change human nature, but once we understand the unnecessary price paid by millions of innocent children, we may be better able to treat their wounds. I wrote this book in remembrance of the children who suffer from PTSD and who have lost their lives to PTSD. PTSD is a disorder that effects mood, destroys mental health and leads to horrific behavior changes. It is a type of mental illness that has multiple symptoms just as it is caused by a number of stressors. Looking at child psychology and receiving counselling to deal with a myriad of symptoms such as anxiety, delayed stress, flashbacks, nightmares, depression etc and each of these symptoms causes trauma not just to the sufferer but to their loved ones too. Getting help for PTSD involves not just the sufferer but the entire family who will work together to facilitate a recovery and to support the PTSD sufferer. PTSD is complex and so different symptoms may become prevalent at different times and in reponse to different stimuli. Topics: mood disorders in children, emotions, mood disorders, mental health, behaviour, counselling and psychology, post traumatic stress disorder, PTSD, traumatic stress disorder, ptsd recovery, mental illness, trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, help PTSD, self help, counseling and psychology, complex ptsd, overcoming traumatic stress symptoms, mental health, post traumatic, delayed stress, flashbacks, recall, abuse, violence, anxiety. Another excellent book from Orla Kelly By Amazon Customer I really like the way Orla breaks down the subject of PTSD into understandable chunks of information that anyone can understand. Before reading this book, I had no idea PTSD was something a child could be afflicted with. If you have, or think you have, people in your life who suffer from post traumatic stress disorder, I highly recommend Orla Kelly's books and website on the topic.

THE ONLINE WRITING CONFERENCE: A GUIDE FOR TEACHERS AND TUTORS By Gail Summerskill Dr. Beth Hewett's' latest book, THE ONLINE WRITING CONFERENCE: A GUIDE FOR TEACHERS AND TUTORS, is a comprehensive theoretical and practical guide for online teachers and tutors to help students improve their writing through conferencing. Dr. Hewett sets the stage with a theoretical overview of the online writing conference and how to establish trust with students in that unique environment. She then reviews theories typically guiding online conferencing and follows this with practical approaches to help improve instruction in online writing conferences. As the Director of Writing at Strayer University, I am always looking for practical, yet theoretically sound approaches, to help our University's 3,500 faculty members improve the writing of their 47,000 online students. In the fall of 2010, over 200 Strayer University faculty members received a copy of Dr. Hewett's book and attended webinars she hosted to discuss how to respond to students' writing online. She broke the key components of the book into a 5 step process for improving the teaching of writing in online settings, including: Think formative not summative; Focus tightly; Be straightforward; Teach don't talk; and Format thoughtfully. You will have to read her book to get the details of these sensible steps. As one of the Strayer University faculty members who read Beth Hewett's book said, "This book is VERY valuable and should be required for all Strayer University teachers." I agree; Beth Hewett's book, THE ONLINE WRITING CONFERENCE: A GUIDE FOR TEACHERS AND TUTORS, should be read by anyone who wants to become a better teacher or tutor in the online conference setting.

Other reviews for this book outline its content in great detail, so I'll just chime in briefly...Chapter 8 is worth the price of the book. I wish all online instructors of writing read this chapter to help them add some structure and self-evaluation to their teaching. Appendix 2 was also a helpful read with its discussion of direct and indirect speech acts; the insights gained are applicable to both my commenting on student papers and my online tutoring work.If you're looking for a book with quite a few analyzed samples of both synchronous and asynchronous conferences, this book will also prove to be helpful.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Review of Hewett's "The Online Writing Conference" By Charles F Warner Dr. Hewett's text provides a first-of-its-kind guide for teachers, tutors, writing center administrators and anyone else involved in the process of helping students improve their work through one-on-one online writing conferences. Hewett's theoretically-grounded work addresses the importance of responding to student writing within a problem-centered context, which encourages students and instructors to work collaboratively to improve their writing. Her instructional advice details several strategies for engaging students in the revision process including addressing the highest-order revision concerns first, using personalized revision demonstrations with the students' own text, and developing a credible, supportive rapport through direct phrasing and language at the student's level of learning. She offers several examples of asynchronous conferences or "tutorials" that demonstrate these strategies. These strategies and examples, coupled with her compelling accounts of experiences, failures, and successes, all work to ease the discomfort and fear often associated with teaching and learning in the online environment. The text itself becomes one master asynchronous tutorial in the way it models and enacts the instructional advice it offers, particularly through the action plans Hewett incorporates at the end of every chapter that summarize the main aspects and provide a guiding checklist for instructors/tutors. Without a doubt, her text contributes to a richer understanding of writing response and writing center theory and practice as it applies to the online environment. Hewett's text serves as a foundation for written response in online writing instruction and a springboard for more research on the perceptions and implications of online writing conferencing for both students and instructors/tutors. In my work with a leading online writing center, I rely on Hewett's text as the quintessential guidebook for understanding the theory and practice of crafting personalized, rhetorically-focused, asynchronous instructional tutorials.Allison Warner, Ph.D.

By Tanya I must say this is a very in depth look into what it takes to write a quality business plan. As a business owner, I have know that business plans are important but we never really put one together. Now, banks are requiring them so we had to learn quick. We found this book and it was a great read. Sam Brown gives some very practical advice on how to write a business plan to stand out and actually gives examples as to what to put in it. I also liked the fact that the book talked about more than just writing a business plan, it actually discussed what it takes to have a solid start up strategy. Eventhough we are not in the start up phase, the tips provided were very useful.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Not just for acupuncturists, but great for them, too! By healingtouch This is a much needed book with good, clear, concise information on gua sha treatment. Like the previous two reviewers, I am a licensed acupuncturist. In school the information provided about gua sha was minimal. This fills in the gaps and gives me another nice modality to use with clients. But it's not just for acupuncturists. The information is presented so the non-acupuncturist can understand and use it as a home treatment tool. Gua sha may be a "folk remedy" but it's also a powerful healing tool. Good graphics help with the understanding of the material.

As a Licensed Acupuncturist, I found this book to be well written with clear photos and explanations. It is written for the layperson, which is great. Even better, the author outlines the Chinese medicine explanation of Gua Sha as well as the meridians. Very well done and user friendly whether you have a background in Chinese medicine or not. The book is organized in a logical format making it easy to quickly look up are area that needs attention without digging through the entire book. Highly recommend this for anyone!

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Great resource! By Steph S As an acupuncturist myself, I think this is a great book, both for practitioners of acupuncture to learn more and also for the lay person who does not have a background in Chinese medicine. The book has lots of details about the history of gua sha, the channels on the body used in Chinese medical treatments, safety guidelines, techniques, and even special protocols for specific health concerns. I will definitely be using this book to sharpen my gua sha skills!

They weren't loud or boisterous, the middle-aged woman with them saw to that. They were just a pair of ordinary toddlers.Yet Samira couldn't drag her eyes away from them. She watched the progress of one little boy as he walked the length of a sofa, his fingers splayed on the silk upholstery for support. He gurgled his delight and grinned at his companion who wobbled along behind him.Samira swallowed. That hollow feeling was back, worse now, turning into a twisting stab of hurt that knifed all the way from her womb up high under her ribs. She tried to focus on Celeste's animated chatter about a new restaurant. Apparently it had unrivalled rooftop views of the Eiffel Tower as well as several Michelin stars and was the new place to eat and be seen.Samira's stomach rebelled at the mention of food.Or maybe it was something else that made her insides clench so hard. The second toddler landed on his bottom, arms waving, and the woman—grandmother? Nanny?—gathered him up. Samira's arms twitched then fell, lax and empty, into her lap.She blinked and turned away.Empty. That was exactly how she felt. She would never have a child of her own to hold. The doctor had made that clear. She'd tried so hard to regroup these past four years, and she'd come so far, but nothing could erase that searing, hollow ache within.Tm so pleased you can attend tonight's charity auction in person.' Celeste leaned across their porcelain teacups and Samira swung her gaze back to the pretty Parisienne. 'Bidders will adore the chance to meet the talented princess behind the gorgeous fashions. Your donation to the auction is sure to fetch a huge price.'Samira fixed on a practised smile and refused to cringe at yet another reference to her royal status. As daughter of, and now sister to, the Sultan of Jazeer, she knew all too well that royal rank didn't guarantee happiness. Her heart lurched but she kept her gaze on her companion, not letting it stray to the other side of the opulent room. She reminded herself she was a pragmatist. Her successful design business benefited from the cachet of her aristocratic name. Designs by Samira had taken off these last few years. Her clientele, among the globe's ultrawealthy, appreciated working with someone who understood their world, who promised absolute exclusivity and confidentiality. She had far more than many women dreamed of: independence, success, wealth. What right had she to yearn for more?Yet still that bone-deep ache persisted, no matter how often she reminded herself how lucky she was. For what did the trappings of success mean when deep at the heart of you there was…nothing?Samira bit her lip. She would conquer this. She would!'I'm looking forward to it, Celeste.' Samira wrenched her thoughts back to tonight's gala. 'You and your team have done a marvellous job pulling it all together. How, exactly, will the auction work? What do you want me to do?'Celeste launched into an explanation of the auction, the exclusive invitation list and the business opportunities tonight's event would present.Yet, businesswoman though she was, Samira couldn't conjure answering enthusiasm. Perhaps because, having been born to status and privilege, mixing with the stratosphere of European society held no thrill for her.Was this all there was? Long days of work followed by an endless round of society events where she'd mix business, pleasure and occasional philanthropy, and leave feeling alone and empty?Samira blinked and gave herself a mental shake, refusing to linger on the maudlin thoughts that had edged her consciousness for so long. She leaned back in her chair, nodding as Celeste emphasised a point, letting her weary body relax for the first time, it felt, in days. That was it. She was exhausted. No wonder her attention strayed. She'd been in consultation with a new first lady in South America yesterday about a gown for an inauguration ball, then had stopped off in New York to see another client, only arriving in Paris an hour ago. When she rested she'd be herself, eager to be caught up once more in the challenges of business, and especially the joy of designing.Movement caught her eye. A tall figure in a dark suit moved through the perfectly arranged seating with a long, quick stride that made her think of her dressmaker's shears cutting through rich velvet. She told herself it was a ridiculous comparison but when she turned to focus on him she realised it was apt. Though dressed with the formidable elegance of the best bespoke tailoring, some indefinable air proclaimed he didn't belong in the luxury of Paris's finest hotel. He belonged somewhere more vital, where crystal chandeliers and dainty side tables were unnecessary fripperies.A good head taller than every other man in the vicinity, his shoulders the broadest Samira had ever seen, he nevertheless moved with a fluid, athletic grace that spoke to her designer's eye.A squeal of excitement froze her in the act of turning back to Celeste. One of the little, chubby-cheeked boys had spotted him and was scrambling across the sofa towards him.A low, rumbling chuckle reached her ears as the man bent and scooped up both children, one in each arm, as easily as she'd pick up a couple of cushions. He lifted them high, making them giggle with delight, and held them close as he ducked his head and murmured to each of them in turn. Tiny starfish hands planted on his shoulders and hair in their eagerness to get close and she heard him laugh again, the sound a ribbon of warmth channelling through the chill emptiness inside her.Just like that, without any fanfare or warning, Samira's world contracted to the cold void of her barren body and the devastating vignette of a happy family on the other side of the room. The dividing line excluding her from them had never been more real, or more unbreakable.Pain juddered through her, making her clench her jaw and grab at the arms of her lounge chair. There would be no family for her, no children. As for finding a life partner to love… The air hissed between her teeth at the impossibility of that particular fantasy.'Samira. Is anything wrong?''Nothing at all.' Samira turned to Celeste with a dazzling smile that only years of practice in the public eye could muster. Surreptitiously she breathed in through her nose, filling lungs that seemed to have cramped shut. 'It sounds like tonight will be a huge success. With luck you'll attract far more than your fund-raising target.''Thanks to you.' At Samira's raised brow she shrugged and smiled. 'And to the rest of the donors.' She paused, glancing across the lounge. 'Speak of the devil, there's one of them now.' Celeste sat straighter, swiftly smoothing her short skirt and flicking her blonde hair from her face. She leaned close to Samira and whispered, 'If only we could auction off a night in his bed we'd make a fortune. I'd bid for that myself and, believe me, I wouldn't let anyone outbid me.'Surprised at the change in her companion, Samira turned. Yet she knew which man Celeste referred to. It could only be the hunky father of two who wore his elegant clothes with such casual panache that even her long-dormant libido sat up and slavered.Yet she wasn't prepared for the shock that slammed into her solar plexus as she saw him again. For this time he'd turned and she saw his broad, high brow, defined cheekbones and the rough-cut jaw that looked dangerous and sexy at the same time. A long, harsh blade of a nose somehow melded those too-strong features into a whole that was boldly, outrageously attractive. And familiar.Samira's breath hissed sharply as she recognised the man she hadn't seen in years. The man who'd once been almost as dear to her as her brother, Asim.A tumble of emotions bubbled inside. Excitement and pleasure, regret and pain, and finally a sharp tang of something that tasted like desire, raw and real for the first time in four years. Amazement at that instantaneous response spiralled through her.'Oh, I'd forgotten you must know him, your country and his being in the same neighbourhood.' Celeste sounded eager. 'Sexy Sheikh Tariq of Al Sarath.' She sighed gustily. 'I'd even consider taking on a couple of kids for the sake of a man like that. Not that I'll get the chance. They say he hasn't looked at another woman seriously since he lost his wife. They try but none of them last. Apparently he was devoted to her.'With one final, lingering look at Tariq and his sons, Samira swung round, putting her back to them, letting Celeste's chatter wash over her. She'd once thought Tariq her friend. She'd looked up to him and trusted him. He'd been as much a part of her life as her brother, Asim. But that friendship had been a mirage, as fragile as the shimmer of water on hot desert sands. He'd turned his back on her years ago with a suddenness that had mystified her, making her wonder what she'd done to alienate him or whether he'd just forgotten her in the press of responsibilities when he'd become Sheikh. When she'd been through hell four years previously she'd not heard a word from him.Strange how much that still hurt.Tariq had been in the crowded banqueting hall just three minutes when his sixth sense, the one that always twitched at a hint of trouble, switched into overdrive.Casually he turned, keenly surveying the glamorous throng even as he returned greetings. He'd been plagued by a sense that something wasn't quite right all afternoon, since he returned to the hotel, but to his annoyance couldn't pinpoint any tangible reason. Just a disturbing sense that he'd missed something important. It wasn't a sensation he liked. Tariq liked to be in control of his world. The crowd shifted and through a gap he saw a sliver of deep scarlet. His gaze snagged. Another shift and the scarlet became a long dress, a beacon drawing his eyes to the sultry swell of feminine hips and a deliciously rounded bottom. The woman's skin, displayed by the low scoop of material at her back, was a soft gold, like the desert at first light. A drift of gleaming dark hair was caught up in an artfully casual arrangement that had probably taken hours to achieve. It was worth it, for it revealed the slender perfection of her elegant neck.Tariq's body tightened, every tendon and muscle stiffening in a response that was profound, instinctive and utterly unexpected.Light played on the sheen of her dress, lovingly detailing each curve. He swallowed, realising suddenly that his mouth was dry. His blood flowed hot and fast, his heartbeat tripping to a new, urgent rhythm. It was a rhythm he hadn't felt in years. Tariq frowned. The woman turned and he took in the fitted dress that covered her from neck to toe. It enticed a man's imagination to wander over the slim frame and bounteous curves beneath the fabric. He'd taken half a pace towards her when his eyes lifted to her face and he slammed to a stop, an invisible brick wall smashing into him, tearing the air from his lungs.Samira.Tariq heaved in a breath so deep it made his ribs ache.Samira.He breathed out, almost tasting the memories on his tongue. But this wasn't Samira as he'd last seen her. This was a different woman: confident, sexy and experienced. A woman who was making her mark on the world. For a moment he paused, drawn despite himself. Then his brain kicked into gear as he remembered all the reasons she wasn't for him, despite the tight ache gripping his lower body. He turned to the pretty blonde at his right who was half-wearing a gold sequinned dress. She looked up with wide, hopeful eyes that brimmed with excitement when he smiled down at her.Minutes later she was leaning into him, her pale hand clutching his sleeve possessively, her eyes issuing an invitation as old as time.Tariq made himself smile again, wondering if she realised or cared that his attention was elsewhere.Samira watched him from the back of the crowd. Tariq was the obvious choice of speaker for the children's charity. He was a natural leader, holding the audience in the palm of his hand. Confident, articulate and witty, he effortlessly drew all eyes. Around her men nodded and women salivated and Samira had to repress indignation as they ate him up hungrily. He was all she remembered: thoughtful, capable and caring, using his speech to reinforce the plight of the children they were here to help, yet keeping the tone just right to loosen the wallets of wealthy patrons. She remembered a lanky youth who'd always been gentle with her, his friend's little sister. This Tariq was charismatic, with an aura of assured authority that he'd no doubt acquired from ruling his sheikhdom. She couldn't drag her eyes from his tall frame and the way it filled out his tuxedo with solid muscle and bone.Samira gulped, disorientated at the sudden blast of longing that swamped her.She blinked and looked up at his bold, handsome face, the glint of humour in his eyes, and remembered the way he'd been with his boys: gentle, loving and patient. In that moment recognition hit. Recognition of what she wanted. What she needed. The family she longed for. Children to nurture and love. A partner she could respect and trust to share her life.Eyes fixed on Tariq, she realised there was a way she could become part of a family. It was the perfect solution to her untenable situation. A solution not just for her, but potentially a win-win for all concerned. If she had the courage to pursue it.The idea was so sudden, so outrageous, she swayed on her delicate heels, her heart thumping high in her throat, her stomach twisting hard and sharp.'Are you sure you're all right?' Celeste grabbed her elbow as if afraid she'd topple over. 'You weren't yourself this afternoon either.''I'm…' Samira gulped, swallowing shock at the revelation confronting her. 'I'm okay, thanks. Just a little tired.'Celeste nodded and turned back to Tariq. 'He's a little overwhelming, isn't he? Especially in formal dress. I swear, if he wasn't a king someone would snap him up as a model.'Samira pressed her hand against her churning stomach, only half-listening.She stared at the powerful figure on the podium and the voice of self-doubt, the voice that had ruled the first twenty-five years of her life, told her she was crazy. Crazy to think about wanting what she could never have. After all, she and Tariq hadn't been friends for years. There was no guarantee he'd even listen to her.But another part of her applauded. The part that had grown stronger in the last four years, nurtured by her family and her determination to drag herself out of the mire of despair and make something of her life. The voice of the survivor she'd become. She knew what she wanted. Why not go for it?Yet instinctively she shied away from such an action.

All of her books are written with such attention to detail and astonishing character development that they envelop you and you become completely engrossed in the story right from the beginning. Annie’s writing has a delicious fluency that keeps me turning the pages without regard to the passage of time until I reach the end.We met Princess Samira of Jazeer in Annie West’s The Sheikh’s Harem Bride from the Desert Vows duo where she was a broken woman hiding from the media. This is her turn to stop hovering in the shadows after her devastating experience with her previous lover and shine.Sheikh Tariq of Al-Sarath, is a good friend of Samira’s brother - Sultan Asim of Jazeer and has known Samira since she was a child. Attraction between the two was always there but the timing had not been right. Now, Samira’s fashion design label has become a success professionally but Samira longs for a family – someone to belong to. By chance she reconnects with Tariq who is now a widower with twin small sons who need a mother. Samira believes she is unable to have children of her own so she proposes to Tariq that she marries him on one condition – it’s to be a marriage in name only! This is a beautiful journey from the arid deserts of Al- Sarath to the glamour of Paris. Samira is captivated with Tariq’s sons, Risay and Adil and the more time she spends with Tariq, the deeper their relationship grows into something beautiful and complimenting. There are some misunderstandings and an extraordinary surprise that has the relationship teetering but Annie West expertly weaves her magic to bring this marriage of convenience to its happily ever after.Samira and Tariq's story was absolutely beautiful. Their slow burning romance left me enchanted and content. The Sheikh’s Princess Bride has fantastic writing, a distinctive and romantic storyline, and an emotional pull that kept me hooked from page one.

By Sally Schmidt The Sheikh’s Harem Bride is the second in Annie West’s Desert Vows series, following The Sultan’s Harem Bride. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Somehow I forgot or didn’t realize that this was a sequel, so imagine my delight when it dawned on me that I would be spending a little more time with Jacqui and Asim (who are of course living happily ever after) and now in this book get a closer look at Samira. It’s a wonder she survived the terrible childhood she and Asim had. And then when she gave her heart and love and body to a man who professed to love her, he treated her shabbily and left her shattered and determined never to risk love again. Jacqui and Asim helped her to get back on her feet, but I wanted to know if she was really doing as well as it seemed at the end of The Sultan’s Harem Bride. And the answer is no, she’s not.As for Tariq, no time is wasted making you see how stunningly charismatic he is and to want to know him better. When I read of his slow smile with a sexy groove down one cheek I had an OMG moment. His long, quick strike that made her think of her dressmaker’s shears cutting through rich velvet put the perfect picture in my mind. He was raised to be a king, taught that love has no place. But he is very haunted by his first wife’s death.Tariq and Asim were boyhood friends in neighboring kingdoms, and little sister Samira was right there. So Samira knows him and feels - and hopes - she can trust him to give her the peace and the family she craves – but under her conditions. The electricity starts crackling between them right away, but you aren’t sure just what is behind it and if it will be good or bad for their future. She is a princess so knows how to be a queen, she loves and wants children so she will be a wonderful mother, but the wife part, not so sure about that. This is just a joyous story to read. It’s oh so sexy but oh so sweet at the same time. Tariq and Samira are both so honorable and trying so hard to care for and honor the other, but to protect themselves from their pasts as well. They are each certain they know what the other is thinking and wants, and therefore become almost frozen in their attempts to do the right thing. From the reader’s perspective what Tariq and Samira should do seems simple and obvious, but to them it’s not, and that’s the charm of itThis was a great read and I strongly recommend it. In fact, you should read all of Annie West’s books, but especially this one. Once you start it will be too good to put down. And when I looked at the back of the book and saw “Category – Passion” I thought no kidding.

I read and loved the first one, The Sultan’s harem bride. The Sheikh’s princess bride takes place four years after the end of the first volume. The book tells Samira’s story, Asim’s sister. In The Sultan’s harem bride, Samira was an important secondary character. She just was going through a painful and public romantic break-up. A public one, because she’s a Princess and her lover is a famous actor. The young woman was hiding in her brother’s palace. In the end of the book, Samira was starting to take over the reins of her life.In the Sheikh’s princess bride, she is now a famous stylist and she works for rich people. But she doesn’t trust herself anymore when men are concerned. Asim and Samira’s parents had a particular relationship, and Samira is afraid to be like them. The story starts in a charity auction in Paris. It also ends in Paris. LOL Meanwhile, our heroes are in Tariq’s land and palace.Tariq and Samira already know each other. They were very close when they were young, then from one day to the next, Tariq never came back, to the great displeasure of our heroine. The reader learns quickly that he was attracted by her and that he chose to break off all ties. What he didn’t know then, is that Samira also had a crush on him. In fact, the book is full of those kinds of little misunderstandings that our heroes will have to overcome before their happy end.I might say that the book is composed of two parts : first, the heroine proposes to our hero, then comes a twist even I didn’t expect, and at last comes the second part. I didn’t like very much the second part. I found that there was too much lack of communication between our heroes and I was so frustrated, especially for our heroine who didn’t know which way to turn anymore.Fortunately, the past shared by Tariq and Samira was important enough that the reader was aware of their feelings. And their thoughts helped me to understand what it really was going on.I loved Samira. I think she’s one of my favorite heroines. Because she knows what she wants and never hesitates to confess her desires, even if she can be rejected. I also loved that she can hide her feelings when necessary, especially when she is surrounded by stranger people. As for our hero, I liked him a lot. But as he is the one behind the lack of communication, I often wanted to shake him. And I liked his open-mindedness.The end of the book is very beautiful, and so are their declarations of love. We don’t doubt their happy end. And Tariq’s children are adorable, and I love that in a romance novel. To conclude, this second volume was excellent and I recommend the series to those of you who love Sheikh romance novels.
