Dancing with Nataraja By Greg Badalian Though there is no music to accompany this Kindle book, the most beautiful and exhilarating song plays out an enchanting rhythm throughout each poem, as Nataraja, the Lord of the Dance, weaves together the universe afresh within the breadth of each breathless word. These poems are not long, they are simple to read and understand, and yet they carry an everlasting significance. I sense the same timeless love for God as first penned in the Vedas, as these hymns of praise sing out to the source of all things. More than spiritual, the beauty of Parvati's love for Shiva conveys the incomprehensible unity that springs from all duality, as Shailendra writes, "God is both! Nirguna and in Saguna, Yin and in Yang." While I focus on the Nirguna beauty of his formlessness, I can perceive the Saguna form of Shiva appear as clear as day from these poems. Thus, the author writes, "Who wants Moksha, O Lord? Wherever you make your world, I long to stay!" This is a true love story, between Parvati and Shiva, and between our spirit and the Spirit of God, for whom we should endure countless births to rediscover him, until we merge, "drop, by little drop", in his ocean of Pure Consciousness. Coming from a western background, I was happy to read, "All One, but in all places! And goes too by many names", which include Buddha, Krishna and Christ. I highly recommend these poems, and I plan to read them again and again.

INTERSPERSED BETWEEN THE PAGES OF EXQUISITE VERSE, THE DAMARU IN ART FORM , REMINDS US OF THE CONSTANT CALL. DHIMI DHIMI DHIMI. IT IS A SOUL UPLIFTING BOOK. JUST TODAY I DID READ A FURTHER WRITE FROM SHAILENDRA THE AUTHOR WHICH TO ME APTLY SUMS UP THE INTENT.. "I feel when the expression of feelings for God comes out in spontaneous verse , there is something mystically corroborative about it.....prose is informative but poetry is a flight".
