About the Author Dan Van Oss grew up reading just about everything he could borrow from the town library, although admittedly sometimes just to get the sticker segments so he could complete the Reading Centipede for each book he finished. He's a Midwest guy, having spent time in Michigan and Kentucky, but mostly Iowa, where he now lives. He started writing during college, where he enjoyed getting red lines drawn through his Creative Writing projects, and where he also penned a weekly column in the school paper under the pseudonym "Fletcher Ford". He's currently working on his Survival Guide for Men series, which will include books on Home Improvement and Sports. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. A bit uneven but worth a read. By Vance L. Blosser This was a decent read. Some of the humor missed the mark, but at other times it was on target. This kind of humor can be difficult to write and this is a fairly new author. There is potential here and I hope the author stays with it. Improvement usually comes from more experience.
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Iffy By Amazon Customer The first piece, on bacon, was hilarious. But after a few other pieces, the initial "wow!" was gone. Dan, it's like you ran out of steam and just pushed out there whatever you had left over. Put in enough verve to last the full course, and your readers won't be able to wait to cross that finish line.
