REVISED REVIEW: `Spanish is a beautiful language, spoken by over 400 million people worldwide.` By Grady Harp Steve Aiston is accomplishing something that is very much needed in this country at the moment - encouragement to learn to speak Spanish as our population grows with those from Hispanic heritage. In this user active book (this is the third volume in the series and each volume just gets better) he employs the assistance of Spanish speaking authors Jorje Morales, Eva Vidal, and Fernando Cruz to offer short stories of a number of interesting topics - geishas, Komodo dragons, Genghis Kahn, Helen Keller, the Titantic, Football and much more - and then at the end of the story he poses questions about each story to test comprehension, notes on grammatical terms, and the answers to the questions he has posed so this is a failsafe test!As Steve states in his introduction, `The `Spanish Intermediate Reading Comprehension' series is designed specifically to help you develop your Spanish reading comprehension skills.
